At SAFER SIX, we believe in providing inclusive, compassionate, and evidence-based care to individuals of all genders and sexual orientations. We are excited to announce that we now offer the Priapus Shot (P-Shot®), a cutting-edge treatment that can improve erectile function, sexual pleasure, and overall penis health.

Whether you're dealing with erectile dysfunction, a decrease in sexual satisfaction, or simply looking to enhance your sexual performance, the P-Shot may offer a safe, non-surgical solution. It’s part of our ongoing commitment to promoting healthy, positive, and satisfying sexual experiences for everyone.

What Is the Priapus Shot (P-Shot®)?

The Priapus Shot, also known as the P-Shot®, is a non-surgical, minimally invasive treatment designed to improve erectile function and enhance sexual performance in men. This procedure involves the use of Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP), a component of your own blood, which is injected into the penis to stimulate tissue repair, increase blood flow, and promote the growth of new, healthy blood vessels.

By utilizing your body’s natural healing abilities, the P-Shot offers a drug-free, low-risk option for improving sexual health without the need for invasive surgery or long-term medication.

This is an off-label procedure that is not approved for this indication by Health Canada. There are lots of medications used daily and medical interventions performed off-label without Health Canada approval (including administration of PRP and Botox) such as this one. This does not mean that it is not safe, it just means that we have to use the knowledge we have to make a clinical decision if this may be right for you.

How Does the Priapus Shot (P-Shot®) Work?

  1. Blood Draw: A small sample of your blood is drawn.

  2. Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Extraction: The blood is processed to concentrate the platelet-rich plasma, which contains growth factors and healing properties.

  3. Injection: The PRP is injected directly into the penis in strategic locations to rejuvenate and improve erectile tissue, increase blood flow, and support overall sexual function.

The P-Shot stimulates new collagen production, cellular repair, tissue regeneration and formation of new blood vessels, which promotes overall increased sensitivity, and can help with issues such as erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, and penile curvature.

    • Many patients report benefits lasting 12–18 months, with some effects potentially lasting longer.

Is the Priapus Shot Right for Me?

The Priapus Shot (P-Shot®) can be a great option if you experience:

  • Erectile dysfunction (mild to moderate)

  • Decreased sexual pleasure or sensitivity

  • Difficulty maintaining an erection

  • Premature ejaculation

  • Penile curvature or Peyronie’s disease

  • Those seeking sexual enhancement without medications or surgery

Am I a Good Candidate for the P-Shot®?

  • If you are experiencing mild to moderate erectile dysfunction (ED).

  • If you seek to enhance sexual performance, sensitivity, or stamina.

  • If you're interested in improving penile health, girth, or appearance.

  • If you have Peyronie’s disease or scar tissue in the penile area.

  • If you are looking for a non-surgical solution to boost confidence and sexual satisfaction.

During your initial consultation, Dr. Bennett will assess your individual needs, discuss your medical history, and determine if the P-Shot® is the right treatment for you.

What to Expect During the Procedure?

The P-Shot® procedure typically takes around 30-45 minutes. While there may be some discomfort during the injection process, it is generally well-tolerated. We use numbing agents to ensure that you are as comfortable as possible during the procedure. Afterward, you may experience mild swelling or tenderness, but these effects usually subside within a few hours to a couple of days.

You can resume most of your regular activities the same day, though it is advisable to avoid any sexual activity for a short period after the procedure (usually at least 4 hours).

The use of a vacuum erection device (penis pump) will be required to be used at the end of the procedure (and will be provided as part of procedure cost).

Is the procedure covered by OHIP?

The procedure is NOT covered by OHIP, although some private insurance providers may provide reimbursement/coverage as a medical procedure if you provide receipt and documentation.

What is the cost of the procedure?

The cost of a consultation is covered by OHIP if you have a health card.
The procedure will cost $1000.

Priapus Toxin (Bocox) can also be done at the same time as Priapus Shot (P-Shot), and can be discussed with Dr. Bennett during your consultation.

Is there research to support this?

Yes, there is evidence-based research to support this procedure. While there are limited large-scale randomized control trials, we feel there is evidence to support the procedure, and this also enables us to add to the pool of research and further clinical evidence that is lacking (as sexual health research is typically underfunded and not as popular as some other clinic areas).
