At SAFER SIX, we believe that sexual health is an essential aspect of your overall well-being. We are committed to offering the most advanced, personalized care to help you feel empowered and confident in your sexual life. We are proud to introduce Clitoxin®, a groundbreaking treatment designed specifically for individuals with clitoris to address sexual wellness concerns and enhance sexual pleasure.

What Is Clitoxin?

Clitoxin® refers to the use of a botulinum toxin (commonly known as Botox) injected into the clitoral region to help improve sexual health and pleasure. While Botox is widely known for its cosmetic uses, it also has medical applications that can help address sexual concerns, such as clitoral sensitivity, painful intercourse, and overall sexual satisfaction.

Clitoxin® is a non-surgical, minimally invasive treatment that works by relaxing the muscles and improving blood flow in the genital area. The goal is to help increase sexual enjoyment and alleviate discomfort for a more fulfilling sexual experience.

This is an off-label procedure that is not approved for this indication by Health Canada. There are lots of medications used daily and medical interventions performed off-label without Health Canada approval (including administration of PRP and Botox) such as this one. This does not mean that it is not safe, it just means that we have to use the knowledge we have to make a clinical decision if this may be right for you.

How Does Clitoxin® Work?

Botulinum toxin (Botox) works by temporarily relaxing muscles and blocking certain nerve signals. When used in the clitoral and pelvic areas, it can address a variety of sexual health concerns:

  • Clitoral Sensitivity: Some people experience excessive sensitivity in the clitoral region, which can make sexual activity uncomfortable or painful. Clitoxin® can help reduce this heightened sensitivity, leading to more enjoyable and pleasurable experiences.

  • Painful Intercourse (Dyspareunia): People suffering from conditions such as vaginismus or pelvic floor muscle tension may experience discomfort during sex. Clitoxin® can help relax the pelvic floor muscles, relieving pain and enhancing sexual comfort.

  • Increases Sexual Pleasure: By improving blood flow and relaxing muscles in the genital area, Clitoxin® can enhance sensations, improve arousal, and potentially lead to greater sexual satisfaction

What are the Benefits of Clitoxin®?

Clitoxin® can offer a number of benefits for women who want to enhance their sexual wellness:

  • Non-Surgical, Minimally Invasive Treatment: Clitoxin is a quick, non-invasive procedure that doesn’t require surgery or a lengthy recovery time.

  • Improved Sexual Sensitivity and Satisfaction: By addressing sensitivity issues and increasing blood flow, Clitoxin® can heighten sensations, increase arousal, and improve sexual pleasure.

  • Relief from Painful Intercourse: For those suffering from conditions like vaginismus or pelvic muscle tension, Clitoxin® can help reduce pain, making intimacy more comfortable and enjoyable.

  • Quick Recovery: The procedure is fast and generally requires no downtime. You can typically return to your normal activities shortly after the treatment.

Is the Clitoxin® Right for Me?

Clitoxin® may be a good option for women who are seeking to improve their sexual experience, reduce discomfort during intercourse, or address concerns such as clitoral sensitivity or pelvic muscle tension. However, every individual is unique, and a personalized consultation is essential to determine if Clitoxin® is the right choice for your needs.

During your initial consultation, Dr. Bennett will assess your individual needs, discuss your medical history, and determine if Clitoxin® is the right treatment for you.

What to Expect During/After the Procedure?

  1. Consultation: Your journey begins with a confidential consultation with one of our experienced sexual health professionals. During this appointment, we will discuss your sexual health concerns, medical history, and treatment goals to determine if Clitoxin is right for you.

  2. The Injection Process: The Clitoxin® procedure involves the injection of small amounts of botulinum toxin (like Botox) into the clitoral areas. While most individuals experience minimal discomfort during the procedure, a local anesthetic will be used to ensure comfort.

  3. Recovery: There is minimal downtime after Clitoxin injections. You may experience mild swelling or bruising, but these symptoms typically subside within a few days. Sexual activity may need to be avoided for a short period, as directed by your provider.

  4. Results: Many women begin to notice results within a few days to a few weeks. The effects usually last for several months, depending on individual factors, and can be maintained with periodic treatments.

Is the procedure covered by OHIP?

The procedure is NOT covered by OHIP, although some private insurance providers may provide reimbursement/coverage as a medical procedure if you provide receipt and documentation.

What is the cost of the procedure?

The cost of a consultation is covered by OHIP if you have a health card.
The procedure will cost $750.

Clitoxin® can also be done at the same time as Orgasm Shot (O-Shot), and can be discussed with Dr. Bennett during your consultation.
